Solved: Resolution setting is grayed out in Display Settings Windows 10 – ZcomTech
I got a laptop with Windows i cant change resolution windows 10 a few months back. I decided to reset Windows 10 as I was having some problems with speed, browsers crashing, etc. Since I've reset it though, the screen resolution is tiny and it won't let me change it. It's stuck on setting 1. I know this question has been asked before, but I've now spent hours trying to resolve it using previous threads – made sure I've got all the Windows 10 updates, tried updating winsows driver, etc.
I also went onto the laptop manufacturer's website and got their latest driver for Cnange 10, but still no joy. Was this reply helpful? Yes No.
Sorry windpws didn't help. Thanks for replying. That was the only solution I couldn't work through. Can you tell me where do I locate the driver set up file? I'd gone into the Device Manager but couldn't see anything for compatibility mode in there. For the setup file, you i cant change resolution windows 10 have to visit your manufacturer' website. For eg: If it is Dell, go the dell website and download the drivers. Install it in compatibility mode later. I have tried this method.
But while installing, it says "NVidia graphics driver is not compatible with this version of windows". I am using Windows 10 and I have selected Windows 8 in compatibility. Have you right clicked your desktop o see if your resolution is set to the one marked recommended? Your recommended resolution is X , so it seems your screen is setting the limit on your resolution!

OK, the max resolution on that GPU is x , so no problem there. I dont know how to find amd software although my screen fits x Typing in AMD leads me to their website and i have no such this as Catalyst on my pc. This site in other languages x.
